You can not get rid off that. That is the extension of a file.
You could choose not to see it.
Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder option ->View-> check Hide extentions

As the name shows, this is just Wordpress’s version of the jQuery Lightbox Plugin written by balupton, perfectly working with Wordpress 2.2 or up, and fully compatible with K2!
This plugin builds on the builtin Wordpress gallery, and replaces any gallery inserted using the [ gallery ]

If you use Firefox 3.6 Beta you can force extension to be compatible. What can you do?
Write into the address bar: about:config
Right-click ot the window, select New -> boolean

It seems that Firefox uses a lot of memory with the Google Toolbar.
For some time my computer works real slow when i use firefox. So i tried to uninstall all the addons. Surprise! When i have uninstalled Google Tollbar my computer has started to work fine with firefox.
Is this a plot from Google to make people use Chrome?
